News On Upcoming WOW- Women Of Wrestling TV Tapings, As Well As News On The Tonga Twins Rift With WOW
We were told this evening that WOW-Women Of Wrestling informed the talent scheduled to be booked to “keep their dates open” for the last weekend of July 2024 into August 2024 because another round of TV Tapings are being planned. They weren’t given the exact dates just yet. This is not an uncommon practice for WOW to give the wrestlers a “heads up” in advance without an exact schedule.
Former WOW World Tag Team Champions The Tonga Twins will no longer be part of future WOW TV Tapings. They announced on their social media this week that they are now free agents. They said they will speak about the situation soon but members of the WOW roster will no longer see them in WOW because they “spoke up”.
We were informed that The Tonga Twins were released from WOW after they brought up some issues that they, and allegedly other members of the locker room, have with the company. We weren’t given any details about what the issues were. Sources told us they wanted to let the twins tell their own story to the public when they are ready and we respected that as an answer. Other outlets are saying the twins “left WOW” but our sources insist that they were released from the company “without any warning” and they DID NOT quit.
Before joining WOW in 2022, The Tonga Twins (Kona and Kaoz) were known as The MK Twins (Ashley and Steff) on the indie scene.
Here is the statement the twins posted about WOW on their social media this week:
